Angels beside us
My mom is still hanging in there. Waiting. We took her to MUSC Monday and they said we would hear from them in a week or two. They called Tuesday and yesterday. Today they will be calling to set up the evaluation for next week. They realize she is in critical condition. We heard from Congressman Joe Wilson yesterday. He offered to help with Medicaid. Senator Jim DeMint is helping with SSI and Governor Mark Sanford's office said to let them know if there is anything they can do on their level. It seems with all the people wanting to help us things would be progressing faster. The foundation is in place and I'm going to post some paperwork proving that for anyone who isn't sure if this is legitimate or not. My mother needs help and I will do whatever I have to in order to get that help for her. If she qualifies for Medicaid we will start actively searching for others who have fallen through the cracks of the system. Hopefully we can help them before they are so near to death. Thank you for your time and please help us get the word out. ~Tami

The Beginning and Inspiration for FixItWithLove
I became a CEO today! I started a non-profit organization called The FixItWithLove Foundation to help my mother Kathy. She is in end-stage liver failure and you can read her story at FixItWithLove.com. I have a feeling this foundation is going to give her the hope she needs to hang on long enough to get a liver transplant. I'm hoping it will give her the money too since she can't get any help because she is an American citizen and her husband has a job. Anyway, it was really difficult dealing with the IRS and Secretary of State and trying to take care of my mother at the same time. I haven't seen my children or grand daughter much since she went into the hospital two weeks ago. Even less since they sent her home to wait to hear from MUSC. I'm sure they won't remember and luckily I have a super terrific daughter who is taking care of them. The last two weeks have been like one small miracle after another. I'm just waiting for the big one. Well everyone say a prayer for Kathy for me. She needs all the prayers she can get. I do to as I get this company off the ground for her. It doesn't feel very good having someone's life in your hands basically. I only hope I can make it happen.
